The Circle K Story

Circle K Furniture began inside a country feed store in 1982.  That’s when Louise Kittrel began selling pine furniture in a small area of her husband’s feed store.  Her keen ability to pick quality furniture, display it with creative flair, and sell it at bargain prices attracted a lot of attention.  Area wives quickly caught on that if they’d go pick up feed for their husbands, they could shop for furniture too.

The furniture store soon became a family affair.   Daughter Galynna helped expand the furniture line to include country collectibles, curtains and kitchen décor.  Husband Jim gave his wife more space and some great advice.  He suggested she buy in bulk and pass the savings on to customers.  The couple left the store in the capable hands of their two daughters, Galynna and Susan as they travelled extensively in search of one-of-a-kind items and hard-to-find styles.  Jim added on to the feed store as demand increased.  But as customers overflowed the parking lot and lined the streets, it was obvious they needed more space.  They wanted to stay in the country to be near family.  And they wanted low overhead so they could continue selling at bargain prices. So they converted their huge riding stables into a furniture store.

Over the years Circle K Furniture grew into the 60,000 square foot showroom and 51,000 square foot warehouse it is today.  To keep up with current needs, the store now offers hundreds of styles, over fifty quality brand names, thousands of accessories and a large gift department.  Despite all the growth, Circle K has never lost its Southern charm.  Here you’ll experience the same down-home hospitality and bargain prices that made Circle K famous.  With its barn-like atmosphere, friendly staff, unique experiences and fragrant scents, Circle K Furniture is the ultimate destination for furniture shoppers across North Florida and South Georgia.
